Workers' Compensation
Both Illinois and Missouri have established workers’ compensation systems which provide a way for injured workers to collect medical benefits, temporary total disability, permanent partial disability, permanent total disability, and death benefits. The purpose of workers’ compensation is to provide these benefits to an employee hurt while at work regardless of fault.
You may have heard from a friend, employer, or insurance adjuster that you do not need an attorney to resolve your claim. However, workers’ compensation law is complex. Many issues arise in workers’ compensation cases, such as pre-existing conditions, whether your job caused your injury, and whether you are entitled to permanent disability. Don’t go it alone.
